My name is Patricia “Pat” Palumbo. I work as a “designing bench jeweler”.
I first started my journey into creating jewelry in 1983. I was hired by “Tree Trunk Jewelry” for a seasonal job selling jewelry off of a cart on Church Street in Burlington, Vermont. That’s when I started tinkering. Can’t find a pic of that cart, it was an amazing rig too! We just didn’t take pictures like we do today. The jewelry cart was right next to Lois Bodoky, the ”Hot Dog Lady”. She was a community treasure, and very sweet!
But, more of that hypothetically interesting elevator speech and/or historical journey stuff later!
..and of course, more pictures. 😀 😉
Here’s a cute cartoon from the ’90s about a wily old bench jeweler. Has to be the only cartoon in existence with the words “bench jeweler”!
